Dragonball Z

Trying out a slightly different style - brings to mind a cross between graffiti and anime. He makes me think of a character from Dragonball Z - it's the hair, if anything. Possibly going to ink him some more, to give the piece a little more drama, and I'm going to try to color it, as well.

Something I whipped up in under three hours, last night. I love this guy, and I'm thinking I might give him proper colors, instead of leaving him in flats. I may change his palette, as well, because it took me less than five minutes to pick a bunch of random colors and color him in.

So I lied. I *wanted* to do either of the images, but I'm still not that good with anatomy, so the first one was out of the question, and then, since I did a 'save as' with the psd for the other one, in Painter, it died and now I can't see it anymore (AND IT WAS SO LOVELY T-T). So, now I present to you another project which may never be finished.

Is it me, or does she look like a pouty Raquel Zimmermann? All of my girls look like models for some reason. Maybe because that's mostly what I see nowadays. I'm kind of an editorial and runway junkie.

Reviving a character from last year and I can't really decide on a good name. He's like a psychadelic time traveler...dude. He reminds me of David Bowie, in full costume. Don't ask why. My next post will involve either this dude in his super tacky spiffy outfit, or Adonis, my new deer character (and his girlfriend, who still needs a name...she looks like Tiiu Kuik, so maybe I'll call her Tiiu), or even...BOTH.

Right, so this would be the first entry in my sketchblog. I've been playing with character ideas for a few days now, and I've come up with the Alptraum, which are sort of like Nazis, but not half as intense. They're just around to look intimidating, they don't actually do all that much. I guess I got the idea from reading 'Mein Kampf', and listening to Rammstein far too much. Anyway, here's a headshot of the first of them, Wilhelm Austerlitz, soon to be followed by a full-bodied sketch of him in his uniform, and maybe some close-ups on his accessories. My parents say he looks like Klink in 'Hogan's Heroes'. I agree. Enjoy.
